Ease On Down: An Invitation to Dream, Rest & Give 'Em Hell

EASE ON DOWN: An Invitation to Dream, Rest, and Give ’Em Hell

Join us for our second member-led workshop facilitated by Kristen Southerland, a gifted television production professional, voice-over artist, and Wiz enthusiast.

Step into the magical world of the cult classic The Wiz (1978) with this workshop and journey through themes of womanhood, liberation, and Afro-futurism. This workshop is designed for Black women seeking to reflect on their personal paths, confront areas of hesitation, and celebrate their power. This workshop promises to be a night of authentic discussion, hands-on creative exercises, fun and laughter with a dope group of Black women.

What to Expect:

• Open Discussions: Dive into themes of freedom, family, overcoming obstacles, fulfilling expectations, and more, as we pause to watch key moments from The Wiz.

• Self-Reflection & Journaling: Explore your own story and the storms you've faced, with guided prompts for deep consideration.

• Community Connection: Share your voice and engage with other women in a supportive, open environment that values your perspective.

Together, we’ll use the magic and wisdom of The Wiz to honor our journeys, dream big, and take bold steps toward best lives.
